PT Medela Potentia Tbk (Stock Code: MDLA), a holding company for four decades of excellence in a trusted healthcare group, officially listed its shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

Through its initial public offering (IPO), the company successfully raised IDR 685 billion and recorded an oversubscription of more than 6 times in the pooling allotment portion—reflecting strong investor enthusiasm for the company’s growth prospects in the healthcare sector.

This overwhelming interest—represented by over 65,000 domestic and global investors, including the International Finance Corporation (IFC)—is a clear testament to investor confidence in the company’s strong fundamentals and long-term mission to expand access to quality healthcare services across Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

“This IPO success is not only a financial milestone, but also a strong affirmation of public and investor trust in our mission to build a more equitable, modern, and sustainable healthcare ecosystem. We are grateful for this confidence and are ready to leverage it to create broader impact for public health,” said Krestijanto Pandji, President Director of PT Medela Potentia Tbk.

The company remains optimistic about the positive growth outlook of the healthcare industry in Indonesia and the region, despite global uncertainties. With Indonesia’s per capita healthcare spending still relatively low, there remains substantial room for growth in line with rising public awareness about health and wellness.

Recognizing this positive growth trend in recent years, the company reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable growth by executing strategic business initiatives. This is both a response to the evolving healthcare landscape and a reflection of the company’s readiness to navigate future challenges and opportunities.

Use of IPO Proceeds

PT Medela Potentia Tbk issued 3.5 billion shares, representing approximately 25% of the post-IPO paid-up capital. The offering price was set at IDR 188 per share. With this pricing, the company raised IDR 685 billion, which will be used to support the expansion and development of its healthcare distribution infrastructure across Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

Approximately 86.4 percent of the IPO proceeds will be allocated to PT Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM)—70.6 percent in the form of loans and 29.4 percent as capital injection. Around 10 percent will be directed to PT Deca Metric Medica (DMM) as capital injection, while the remainder will be allocated to GoApotik to expand its pharmacy partner network and support various digital health initiatives.

The company will strengthen its domestic infrastructure by opening new branches and warehouses in strategic locations. In addition to expanding its national service coverage, the company also plans to grow its regional presence across ASEAN as part of its long-term vision.

To ensure business sustainability, PT Medela Potentia Tbk will also modernize its distribution systems for greater efficiency and adaptability. The company will invest in AI-driven logistics technologies, implement warehouse automation systems such as Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS), and further develop its digital platforms to support a seamless end-to-end supply chain.

“By expanding our reach, diversifying our product portfolio, and strengthening our technological foundation, we are confident in our ability to create sustainable value and become a strategic partner in improving the quality of healthcare services in the region,” Krestijanto added.

The company’s role as a strategic partner in public health improvement is also demonstrated through its strong support of Indonesia’s National Health Insurance program (JKN) by BPJS Kesehatan, which now covers 98% of the population and continues to improve in service delivery—presenting a key growth opportunity for the company.

With a successful IPO and a business strategy centered on sustainable growth, PT Medela Potentia Tbk is ready to take bold strides forward as a catalyst for healthcare industry transformation in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
